My pet duck

The girl lunged, scooping up the bundle in a flurry of feathers.
"Got ya!" She yelled excitedly.
The duck made a honking noise and struggled in the girls grasp.
"Hold...still." she said while struggleing to get the duck under control. "I'm not gonna hurt you."
It honked again, biting her hand."Ow!" she yelled, instinctivly letting go. The duck waddled away.
"Ugh." She sighed, blowing a strand of auburn hair out of her dark eyes. She then smiled, adjusting her plans.
She followed the duck back to her nest, making sure it didn't notice her.
After waiting a momment, the girl jumped from her hinding spot, scaring the duck out of it's wits. It jumped away in a scared jumble of honks and flaps.
"Ha ha ha hah." She laughed as she picked up an egg. She still got a new pet that day.
